Environment

The College signed the Cambridge Climate Change Charter in November 2008 and is putting in place an Environmental Action Plan with ambitious targets covering energy efficiency, water consumption, waste management, purchasing, travel, chemical pollutants and new buildings.

Fitzwilliam College has an active Environmental Committee, composed of students, fellows and staff, working together to implement green initiatives and increase awareness of environmental issues within Fitzwilliam.

In 2010 Fitzwilliam was ranked 4th in the annual inter-college Green League Table, a student-led survey produced by Cambridge University Environmental Consulting Society (CUECS).
