Xian Jun Loh is currently a visiting academic at the Department of Chemistry, supported by the Agency of Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (A*STAR) Fellowship. He graduated with a PhD from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He was awarded the Singapore National Science Talent Search Award in 1999, A*STAR National Science Scholarship in 2002 (undergraduate studies) and A*STAR Graduate Scholarship in 2007 (postgraduate studies). His main research interests are in the design of stimuli-responsive polymers for biomedical applications and in chemical education to motivate and nurture aspiring young researchers.
