Nicola first arrived in Cambridge as an undergraduate (Christ's 1999), reading French and Italian.
In 2003 she moved to Corpus Christi, and continued with her studies, completing an MPhil in European Literature and a PhD in Medieval French and Italian.
In 2008 she was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship at Emmanuel College, where she studied medieval philanthropic investment in the arts, was Director of Studies in Italian, and taught a wide range of undergraduates.
In 2011, she decided to switch the theory of philanthropy for practice and joined the Development Office of Pembroke College, as a Major Gifts fundraiser. In 2012 she moved to Robinson College where she held the position of Deputy Development Director.
In 2016, she joined Fitzwilliam as Development Director.
