All awards carry a value of £150 unless otherwise stated. At the end of the academic year, the Tutorial Committee identifies undergraduates meeting the criteria and awards them directly.

Tom Comfort Prize
  • Considers both academic achievement and other contributions to College life
Established in 2007 by the College, in memory of Thomas James Comfort (2004) who read Part 1A Economics followed by Part 1B and Part II Social and Political Sciences. He died from a sudden illness at the end of Lent Term in his final year, having made significant contributions to many aspects to College life.

Established in 1985 by Mr T S Lucking (Geography, 1926-29) in memory of his wife.
Sir John Stratton Prize   Bequest by Sir John Stratton (English, Archaeology and Anthropology, 1929-32).
Thatcher Prizes   Established 1977 by gifts from Professor G B Norcliffe, Mr Z K L Chojecki and Mr W O Rice for awards to be named after W S Thatcher (Censor, 1924-54).
A J Watson Prize
  • Awarded if no Philosophy or Psychology students were suitable, at the discretion of the Tutors

Nick Clarke Prize
  • Distinguished contribution to College life
Established in 2007 by a collective gift from friends of Nick C Clarke (1967) in his memory. He read Modern and Medieval Languages, was President of the Fitzwilliam Society (2001-02) and had a distinguished career as a broadcaster and author. The prize reflects Nick's passions for languages and cricket.

Established in 1986 by a bequest from the Reverend Prebendary H H Wellings (History, Theology, 1917-19), who died 28 October 1985.

Established in 2007 by a gift from Russell Paul Newton (1983), who read Natural Sciences at Fitzwilliam.
QinetiQ Prizes   Established in 2007 by a corporate gift from QinetiQ Group PLC, the international defence and security technology company, which is committed to encouraging students to read science at university. Mr Graham Love (English, 1972) and Mr Doug Webb (Geography, Management Studies, 1979) held the positions of CEO and CFO of QinetiQ respectively.
