Applying

Most applications for graduate study are made through the University's Graduate Admissions Office. You will have the opportunity to name Fitzwilliam as your College of choice.

If you are applying through a Department or Faculty, such as the Judge Business School or Faculty of Education, application procedures may be different. Whatever your route of application, please keep the College graduate office informed of your progress.

Tracking your application

The University Graduate Admissions Office will send all their applicants information on how to log in to the self-service account. This is the page you will use to track the progress of your University appliocation and make any changes to your contact details.

The College needs to use the information stored in this account to contact you. Please ensure that the contact information is kept up to date. If you do not have access to this service, please inform the College graduate office of any changes.

College Membership

Colleges only consider applications after a conditional offer has been made by the University. The Fitzwilliam Graduate Officer will contact you by email if the College is able to make an offer of membership. The conditions of this offer will be the same as those of the University's offer. To accept College membership:

According to University procedure, it is automatically assumed that you will accept the offer of College membership. Your papers will not be sent on to any other Colleges.  however, we do need some information from you.  Please fill in the form below as soon as possible. Do not wait until you know you have funding or until you have met any other condition.

After receiving your University offer, you should do the following:

• Keep the College graduate office informed of your progress toward meeting the conditions of your officer. (Further information on University conditions, and the offer booklet, can be found on the Graduate Studies pages of the University website.

• Apply for Accommodation. Fitzwilliam graduate students can live in College accommodation for the duration of their course. Find out more on our accommodation pages. All graduate students of the University, must live within 10 miles of the centre of Cambridge, unless they have specific permission from the University. You can discuss these arrangements with the Graduate Admissions Office.
