Services and Special Events Easter Term 2012

During Full Term, the main services in the College Chapel usually take place each Sunday at 9.15 am and 6 pm.

Other events this term:

  • Away Day in Ely. On Saturday 19th May there will be a chapel away day in Ely. More details to follow shortly.

  • Connect is a student-led opportunity for discussion in the contect of prayer and worship. This term's Connect service takes place in K11 on Wednesday 9th May. Contact Jon Cooper for more information or to get involved.

  • University Sermons are on 24th April at St Bene't's Church and 6th and 27th May at Great St Mary's (The University Church) at 11.15am.

  • Prayer and Pudding Club will take place for the relief of revision/exam stress and the eating of puddings on Wednesday 16th May and Friday 25th May at 8.00pm, in K11. Please note that these are the correct dates, not those in the printed Chapel Card! More information will be posted nearer the time.

  • Ascension Day is on Thursday 17th May. There will be a short (said) service of Holy Communion in the crypt chapel at 8.30 am and a service of Choral Compline in chapel at 9.30pm.

  • This term's College Communion, which all Christians in college are particularly encouraged to attend, will be at 6.00 pm on the Feast of Pentecost, Sunday 27th May. The guest preacher will be the Reverend Alice Goodman (Lady Hill), Rector of Fulbourn and the Wilbrahams and the celebrated librettist of the operas 'Nixon in China' and 'The Death of Klinghoffer'.

  • A special Service of Thanksgiving with Commendation of Leavers, to which all are warmly invited, will take place in the college chapel on the last Sunday of Term, Sunday 17th June, at 6.00 pm.
