Fitzwilliam College Travel Awards

Deadline (Michaelmas Term): 1 November 2011Deadline (Lent Term): 31 January 2012Deadline (Easter Term): 7 May 2012(For students graduating, trips in the long vacation must relate to the Tripos being studied).Applicants must apply in the term prior to the vacation in which they wish to travel.

Thanks to the generosity of alumni of the College and other donors, grants are awarded to enable undergraduates to pursue projects of an educational or non-academic nature both at home and abroad.

Awards are made by the Tutorial Committee on the recommendation of the Senior Tutor, with a maximum grant of £250 per term and a maximum total award of £400 to any student during each academic year.

The Student Opportunities Fund also supports a number of awards to enable undergraduates to travel during the vacations. Undergraduates should apply to the Travel Award Scheme in the usual way.

Applications

Complete an online application form, when available, for travel during Vacations. Applicants must discuss their applications with (and obtain signatures from) their Director of Studies and Tutor. For certain courses, notably Geography and MML, applications should also be made to the Vacation Study Grant Fund via the relevant department.
