Tsuzuki Scholarship Programme
Each year there is an opportunity for students of Fitzwilliam College to spend a year in Fukuoka, Japan - learning Japanese, teaching English and immersing themselves in Japanese culture.
This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate members of the College who are due to complete their course of study in 2018. In certain circumstances, PhD students may apply during the course of their studies (only after securing the support of their Department & Supervisor).
Each year the College sends five students to Japan University of Economics, a private university with campuses in Fukuoka Prefecture (on the island of Kyushu) and in Tokyo.
The Scholarship pays for return airfare, accommodation, two hours of Japanese language tuition per day and all meals and excursions within Japan. Students will also have the opportunity to earn extra money by teaching English to local Japanese students.
Students are expected to stay in Japan from 1 September 2018 to 15 July 2019.
