MCR: Women in Science

Mon, 11/02/2019 - 19:00 to 21:00
Gordon Cameron Lecture Theatre
The MCR and the Development Office are proud to be organising the College’s first Women in Science evening. The event celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and commemorates 40 years of women attending Fitz.

Open to all, this is a fun opportunity to learn more about careers in the sciences and opportunities following graduation.

Chaired by Fitzwilliam Fellow Dr Cora Uhlemann (DAMTP), our panel features a mix of academics and practitioners:

  • Dr Christelle Abadie: Fitzwilliam Bye-Fellow, Department of Engineering
  • Dr Kanwal Bhatia: Lead Data Scientist, Visulytix
  • Alex Jenkin: Project Manager, Science and Plants for Schools
  • Dr Lizzie Radford: Academic Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics, Department of Medicine

The format of the evening will be five short presentations followed by Q&A‬, then casual drinks and discussion in the Wilson Court Common Room. There will be free wine, not-wine, and cheese!

Please do spread the word and invite any friends or colleagues who might be interested. Feel free to contact Tim Ford (MCR Academic Officer) at mcr.academic@fitz.cam.ac.uk with any questions.
