The College is seeking to appoint a Head Porter to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Porters’ Lodge and provide first class front of house leadership, building a culture of strong customer service. At the heart of the College, this is a senior role, which incorporates wide-ranging demands and challenges and is crucial to the smooth running of College life. The Head Porter is the professional presentation to members of the College, visitors and guests will lead by example to uphold the College’s values, behaviours and standards that underpin the on-going success of the College.
The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, diplomacy and discretion, remain calm under pressure and manage fast paced and high profile situations confidentially. Creativity and resourcefulness combined with a high level of professionalism when dealing with sensitive welfare, personnel and security matters are all essential requirements of the role.
This is a full-time, permanent position, 37.5 hours per week on a 5 days out of 7 shift basis, Salary £29,826 - £32,537 per annum dependant on experience.
