University Library Catalogue
The University Library catalogue has recently seen a massive change.
From September 2016 use iDiscover to search the University's libraries print and online collections using a single search.
Find books, ebooks, videos, theses, open access content and many more formats.
The Fitzwilliam College Librarian will be please to help you get the best from this new resource. Just ask - via email, social media or just pop in.
Please note that you are only entitled to use Fitzwilliam Library, subject related Department or Faculty Libraries, and the University Library. Other libraries must be contacted to ask permission to browse or borrow from them. All College Libraries are specifically for the members of that college, and this should be respected by all users.
The Cambridge University Library is a Legal Deposit Library, meaning that it can request a copy of every book, journal, map and musical work published in Britain, and nearly every significant English-language publication worldwide. It holds over eight million books.
All members of the University are entitled to use the University Library, and since 2010 graduates and all undergraduates may borrow books from the Library. The Tea Room in the Library serves meals, snacks and refreshments and is one of many areas ideal for relaxed study.
The University Library can be accessed via West Road or Burrell's Walk.
