The College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Rod Cantrill as the new Bursar, to succeed Andrew Powell, who will be retiring in September, after 11 years’ service to Fitzwilliam.
Rod has over 30 years’ experience from a career in finance and business. He also has a deep knowledge of Cambridge as an alumnus of St Catharine’s College, from his involvement in local politics and as a trustee of Wintercomfort, a Cambridge homeless charity.
Baroness Sally Morgan, Master and chair of the search committee, said: "The Fellowship is delighted to have appointed Rod to this vital role in the College. He brings a wealth of experience to Fitzwilliam. We look forward to his joining the Fellowship later this year."
Speaking of his appointment, Rod said: "I am thrilled to be joining Fitzwilliam and to succeed Andrew Powell. I look forward to getting to know and working with all members of the College community."
Rod will be taking up the role on 1 October.
