Matriculation

As a new student at the University of Cambridge you are required to formally register as a member of the University by completing the matriculation process. Matriculation is the process by which new members join their College and the University by subscribing to the University's Statutes and Ordinances. This year Matriculation will take place on-line and details will be emailed to you accordingly. 

ID Check

Before Matriculation, the College needs to check your ID. Please attend the Matriculation ID Check and Photograph event as detailed below, bringing with you a form of ID (i.e. Passport) with your photo, full name and date of birth. If you are a UK student without a passport or driving licence, please bring along your birth certificate instead.

Date: Tuesday 5 October
Venue: The Grove
Arrival time: from 11am (a specific time will be emailed to you).

 

This will be immediately followed by the Matriculation Photograph
Dress code is formal wear and Gown. If it is raining, please bring an umbrella as you will be outside some of the time. 

Face coverings should be worn until you have your photograph taken - please refer to relevant information on the College Coronavirus webpage: https://www.fitz.cam.ac.uk/coronavirus. If you show any signs of Covid-19 before the event please do not attend – and please contact the Porters on 01223 332000.
