Other Years Accommodation

Fresher accommodation is allocated by the College, before you arrive in October of your first term. In later years, your room is allocated by a randomised ballot. You are able to express preferences (cost, location etc.) and many students choose to ballot in small groups, so that they can live with friends.

There is a wide range of accommodation available: Freshers live on the College site, as do most third-year students, while  about half of second years choose to live in one of the nearby College-owned houses.

College-owned houses are converted residential houses in the streets around the main College site (primarily Huntingdon Road).  Houses vary in size, with 4-7 rooms available, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

The room ballot happens in Lent Term, and current students have access to an extensive room database, which lists prices, facilities and includes photos of specific rooms. Many students make visits to rooms they are considering, to chat with the current occupant, before choosing. For privacy and security reasons, we do not publish our room database externally, but you can view a range of options below.
