Future Fitz Giving Day 2025

Evolving, Enriching and Enhancing our College

On 5-6 November, we will be holding our first ever Giving Day, Future Fitz Giving Day 2025! For 36 hours, beginning at 9am on 5 November, the global Fitz community is encouraged to come together and celebrate the College.

Giving Day is an opportunity for you to help current and future students at Fitz. For those who are unfamiliar, a Giving Day is a largely digital campaign involving emails and social media posts which generate awareness and support for our current projects. We hope you will enjoy sharing your memories of Fitz, discovering more about what is in store for the College, and encouraging your friends to join in, too. We’ll be sharing student stories, College plans, and details of how you can get involved very soon.

This year, the immediate priority is to invest in improving accommodation and upgrading the sports facilities on Oxford Road. These plans include an extension to the sports pavilion, incorporating new, fully accessible unisex changing facilities, the addition of a hard surface Multi Use Games Area and the renovation of the student accommodation both at Red Cottage and next to the sports ground. Click here to read more about the project plans.

Redeveloping Oxford Road and the sports ground will bring enormous benefits to our community:

  • Ensuring our accommodation and facilities are uniform in quality and fit for purpose across the College.
  • Promoting student physical and mental wellbeing and encouraging a healthy work-life balance.
  • Championing sport to play a key positive role in the lives of our students and continuing our legacy of sporting success.
  • Delivering high levels of sustainability and thereby helping to decarbonise our estate.
  • Attracting prospective students to make an application to Fitz.
  • Enabling inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging within our community.
  • Creating an environment in which academic excellence can flourish.

During Giving Day, matched and challenge funding will be available, meaning that every gift – no matter the size – will have an even greater impact for our students.

Whether you are a Fitz alumnus/a, student, staff member or friend, there are multiple ways you can take part in Future Fitz Giving Day 2025: as well as making a gift, you can follow and share our progress online, take part in a challenge and read or share messages on the ‘memory wall’.

You can help spread awareness from now on using #FutureFitz. There will also be in-person activities in and around the College on the day to promote the campaign and celebrate all things Fitz.
